Mary cannot forget the years she spent teaching at a residential school in Nova Scotia. She was so young then and the world was such a different place.  A decade has passed since the school was shuttered; however, the young teacher remains haunted by what she witnessed there. Teetering on the edge of reason, Mary’s path from faith to uncertainty plays out before her eyes. Feeling consumed by her memories, Mary does the only thing her fiery soul will allow her to do: confess.

Written by one of Canada’s most celebrated playwrights, Sisters dramatizes the most significant issue facing Canadians today. Cathartic, evocative and forthright, this play will take audiences on an emotional journey that may never be forgotten.
