a play by Wendy Lill
Presented by Borelians Community Theatre
at Town Hall 1873 Centre for the Performing Arts
February 15-24, 2018
Directed by Helen Coughlin
After Mary, a young nun, burns down the residential school she teaches at, her path from faith to disillusionment plays out before her eyes. Haunted by her youthful hope, transformed by the nuns and students she lives with, Mary does the only thing her burning soul will allow her to do: confess.
Written by one of Canada’s most celebrated playwrights, Sisters dramatizes the most significant issue facing Canadians today. Devastating, evocative and forthright, this play will take audiences on a cathartic journey that may never be forgotten.
